I really loved this heartfelt video--thank you for making it and sharing it. Your messages about homelessness are insightful and important. I loved the ghostly clothes painting with no people inside the clothes. And this painting of your boyfriend is also great--and very successful formally as well--all those zig zags in the background and then his body a series of triangle zig zags (legs, arms) as well and I love how you handled the blue repeatedly and how it contrasts with the orange. Very satisfying visually. And I loved how it got built up in the video.
I really like how you talk about art and its role in our lives. I look forward to your next post whenever you write it. And about choosing a medium--maybe you're just good at a lot of things instead of one thing. So sure, sometimes that slows down progress in one area but maybe in the long haul it works out better anyway to move between different media. I work in a lot of different media as well. We are who we are. And even if the world pushes you to be "one thing" so it can call you a 'painter' or a 'quilter' or whatever, what does the world know? You're not a brand. You're a person with a lot of interests. I say Kudos to that!
thanks so much Sarah, as always! I've also felt sad I have less time lately to keep up with all of the cool work other artists are doing here. I've felt so supported by you and so many others I want to make sure I make space to give as much attention to everyone else.
Thanks for the feedback! Digital painting has been helpful because I can watch back and see where I may have over done something. Painting is always such a delicate balance between looseness and stiffness. I really appreciate the encouragement :)
I also loved this wonderful video Jeremy and although I haven’t commented, think your dolls house project is an amazing initiative. Wishing you a lovely time of rest and incubation. ✨
I just took a break too, I had to. Impossible to constantly produce, write, laugh, cry, think, translate ... everything into form. I just need to eat, live and do stuff.

You have amazing strength!! Keep doing what you are doing and letting your inner light shine!! :)
This is fantastic, Jeremy. The art process video with your spoken story is a great combo. It’s also nice to learn more about your life.
Thank you! More art mixed with personal essays coming very soon, actually :)
